South Africans, JoAnn Radus and
Alain Eagles of The Drum Cafe (an international organization which
promotes diversity, teambuilding and corporate work through interactive
African drumming) presented to Lisa Vaughn's Psychology of Cultural
Differences Class about their cultural experiences in South Africa and
about healing both individually and collectively after apartheid.
They discussed influential figures in South Africa and some of the history
and complexities of the people in South Africa. |
 |
| After the presentation, Radus and Eagles
facilitated the class in an interactive drum and dance workshop. All
students reported that they really loved the experience and felt energized
after the session--a great accomplishment especially since it's the last
week of classes and all the stress of finals coming up! |

A side note: Radus and Eagles and other
members of The Drum Cafe are available for staff development events,
corporate workshops, parties, teambuilding sessions, stress relief,
etc. They have worked with large corporations and smaller groups all
over the world. JoAnn and Alain are currently based in Atlanta and
